Job description

Sales Manager required for an innovative technology leader involved in the development of next-generation lithium-ion battery systems for the global off-highway, industrial, automotive, aerospace and energy storage industries.

Our client has been instrumental in pushing the technological boundaries of lithium-ion battery-based electrification through the development and manufacture of bespoke battery systems for a wide range of application areas.

Reporting to the Sales Director you will be working closely with key decision-makers within your target area you will be responsible for providing technical advice to customers and developing solutions. You will be responsible for the organisation and implementation of the sales process, from the initial customer requirement to the preparation of the quotation, pricing and closing of the deal.

You will be expected to maintain high levels of support to existing customers and acquire new customers by carrying out market and competition monitoring to identify new applications and business opportunities.

Responsibilities: -

  • Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
  • Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts

You will be able to demonstrate the following: -

  • Proven record of success with the entire B2B sales cycle, from planning to closing
  • Background in battery systems, power electronics, electric machines, or systems integration preferred
  • Market experience in off-highway, industrial, automotive, or aerospace preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Remote acceptable, physically located or willing to relocate to Ohio preferred
