Job summary

Total Quality Logistics (TQL) in Charleston, WV is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a mid-to-large team of logistics sales reps, drive revenue, and deliver exceptional customer service in a high-velocity market. You will coach, hire, onboard, and mentor reps, shaping account strategies and ensuring growth while maintaining integrity and compliance across high-volume accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of sales management experience; preferably leading a team of 10+.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Transportation or business services industry experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, lead and motivate others.
• Ability to be on call 24/7/365.
• Open to relocation throughout your career if needed.
• Capable of providing strong professional references – customer, superior, peer and direct report.

Responsibilities

• Driving revenue through coaching and developing new and existing sales reps.
• Interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training entry-level sales reps.
• Assisting sales reps with account strategies to increase revenue.
• Holding the team accountable for daily activity and results.
• Ensuring employees maintain the highest level of integrity.
• Coordinating the allocation of support staff to accounts with high volumes of business.
• Occasional travel to meet with prospects and customers.
• Monitoring sales reports, acting as needed, and communicating trends and market conditions to senior leadership.
• Working with the Learning and Development department to help maintain and continuously enhance sales training programs.

About the role:

As a new Sales Manager for TQL, you will be leading a mid-to-large team of highly motivated logistics sales representatives, responsible for driving revenue and providing unmatched service to our customers. This is a highly competitive, transactional sales industry, that requires a 24/7 mentality, quick decision making, and incredible customer service to be successful.
