Job summary

Knudtsen Foothills Lincoln Mazda is hiring a Sales Lot Attendant in Spokane, WA. You will maintain the dealership lot and vehicles, assist the sales team, and help create a positive buying experience for customers.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to operate a variety of vehicles, and adherence to safety and inspection procedures. This is a full-time on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• A team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.
• Able to lift 50-60 pounds, stand and walk on hard surfaces for most of shift in all weather. Must be able to stoop, bend, and twist on a daily basis.
• Able to safely operate a wide variety of cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans, including both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Pass a motor vehicle report and possess a safe driving record.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Required pre-employment drug test (note: we do not test for marijuana during pre-employment testing).

Responsibilities

• Prepare all vehicles for sale, auction, or trade according to policy and procedure.
• Prepare all vehicles for delivery and execute a pre-delivery inspection.
• Prepare all vehicles received from auction, trade, or purchase according to policy and procedure.
• Keep interior and exterior of vehicles clean.
• Maintain a clean and organized lot and move vehicles to maximize space.
• Check vehicles daily and report problems; escalate as needed.
• Keep vehicles fueled and ensure forms and stickers are properly displayed.
• Catalog and store keys.
• Wash vehicles.
• Ensure doors and gates are secured at night and supplies are stored.
• Perform seasonal tasks like pulling weeds, blowing leaves, plowing snow, brushing off cars.
• Assist in maintaining building cleanliness and stock supplies.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Summary of Position

A Lot Attendant is responsible for creating a satisfactory buying experience for our customers by maintaining accessibility and appearance of the dealership, lot, and vehicles. You would be an integral part of a team, the sales process, and creating lifelong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all vehicles for sale, auction, or trade according to proper policy and procedure.

• Prepare all vehicles for delivery according to proper policy and procedure and execute a pre-delivery inspection.

• Prepare all vehicles received from auction, trade, or purchase according to proper policy and procedure.

• Keep interior and exterior of vehicles clean.

• Maintain a clean and organized lot, including moving vehicles to maximize space and keep the lot in order.

• Checks vehicles daily and reports any problems or concerns. Also recognizes general dealership and lot repairs that may need to be escalated to a manager.

• Keep vehicles fueled.

• Ensures that required forms and stickers have been completed and are properly displayed or removed, as necessary.

• Catalog and store keys.

• Wash vehicles.

• Confirms that all vehicles, gates, and external building doors are locked and that all supplies and tools are put away for the night.

• Performs necessary seasonal tasks, such as: pulling weeds, blowing leaves, plowing snow, and brushing off cars, etc.

• Assists in maintaining cleanliness of building interior including emptying trash bins, cleaning restrooms, stocking paper products, and cleaning surfaces.

• Other tasks as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Lot Attendant physical requirements include:

• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day

• Employee is regularly required to talk and hear

• The employee must be able to lift or move items at least 50 pounds

• Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions

Team Members regularly works 40 hours per week. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member will typically be outside on the Sales Lot. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions and combustibles. Fast paced working environment at times, but typically the environment is quiet and calm. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderately loud. If walking through the service areas can be exposed to loud noises and dangerous work environments.
