POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Associate Lead is responsible for supporting store management to ensure excellent customer service and maximize profitability. Tasks include sales, register transactions, and supporting store operations.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote customer service by greeting and assisting customers, responding to inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Handle basic operations such as cash handling, reporting, price changes, merchandise handling, and opening/closing duties. Review and submit payroll documentation accurately.
- Monitor and communicate sales associate performance; motivate and train staff to achieve goals.
- Maintain awareness of customer needs to enhance service and security; stay current on operational policies regarding payments, exchanges, and security.
- Stay informed about current sales and promotions; display merchandise accordingly.
- Assist with inventory receipt, dispatch, and supplies according to company policies.
- Supervise sales associates involved in sales, inventory, cash reconciliation, and customer service; prepare weekly schedules for proper coverage.
- Model sales techniques, share product knowledge, and assist customers in merchandise selection.
- Build customer loyalty through clienteling and wardrobe styling.
- Maintain standards in merchandise presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed.
- Participate in visual merchandising and store setup activities.
- Assist in staff development by interpreting KPI reports, coaching, and providing feedback for performance appraisals.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Duties may vary across different brands.

QUALIFICATIONS:- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Preferably 2+ years retail or sales management experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willing to travel within the district.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of store operations.
- Physical ability to stand, maneuver, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform related tasks.
- Reliable attendance and flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
