POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Sales Lead is responsible for supporting Management in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture, where our values and guiding principles are at the forefront of all store operations, including providing a great customer experience and maximizing profitability. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive for Results
- Establishes and communicates clear expectations, holding store team and themselves accountable for achieving all brand, performance, and behavior standards.
- Performs and oversees basic operational activities such as opening and closing duties, and merchandise flow processes.
- Supervises associates engaged in sales, inventory receipt, reconciling cash receipts, or customer services. Utilizes weekly schedules for proper floor coverage within fiscal guidelines. Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions; presents and displays merchandise accordingly.
- Maintains standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed by Management.
- Develops a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to meet sales and productivity goals; meets personal sales goals.
- Trains and coaches the team to ensure they are fluent in all aspects of product knowledge, both online and in-store.

- Motivates and inspires the store team, promoting a shared vision and modeling core values.

- Communicates effectively with store teams and management to lead positive change.

- Customer Experience
- Models, teaches, and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, offering a cohesive omni-channel experience.
- Uses various techniques and product knowledge to meet customer needs; recommends and helps locate merchandise.
- Builds and maintains a customer following through clienteling and wardrobing.
- Ensures prompt resolution of customer concerns.
- Ensures a fast and efficient register experience, staying current on policies regarding payments, returns, exchanges, and security.
- Maintains consistent client communication via customer books, rewards programs, and sign-ups.
- Talent Development
- Supports and follows up on training programs and seminars.
- Assists in developing store associates; interprets KPI reports and provides coaching; offers feedback for performance appraisals.
- Drives engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
- Ensures adherence to employment practices and policies.
Other duties as assigned. This position may vary across brands.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred
- Must be 18 or older
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to learn or adapt to company technology
- Knowledge of store operations
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Regular attendance and flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constant walking/standing for 67-100% of shift
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. for 1-33% of shift
- Frequent climbing for 34-66% of shift
