Job summary

Soma is seeking a Sales Lead in Paramus, NJ to partner with store leaders and guide the team toward exceptional customer experiences. You will model welcoming service, set tone, and help shape a culture that reflects our hospitality.

The role emphasizes leadership, brand storytelling, and hands-on coaching on the sales floor. Ideal candidates bring 2 years of retail management experience, strong communication, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• A team player mindset with ownership and initiative.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products, operate the register, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist store leadership with general store operations and opening/closing.
• Share brand priorities and messages with store teams.
• Lead on the sales floor with product knowledge and omni-channel approach.
• Coach and encourage the team to meet performance goals.
• Execute cash handling, scheduling, inventory, and replenishment.

About the role

As a Sales Lead, you partner closely with store leaders to supervise the team, lead by example, and step in to support leadership responsibilities wherever needed. You play a pivotal role in upholding brand standards and helping shape a positive team culture. You will set the tone for achieving team goals by providing clear direction and support. As a role model for the team, you demonstrate a welcoming, customer-centered environment that goes beyond the transaction to create memorable, personalized experiences that reflect our culture of hospitality.

• Assist the store leadership team with general store operations, including opening and closing responsibilities.

• Share ideas and insights with the store leadership team.
• Contribute to a positive work environment by embracing teamwork with peers and leaders.
