Job summary

Journeys in Lombard, IL is seeking a Sales Lead to assist store management in achieving sales goals and leading a high-energy team. The role includes coaching staff, enforcing policies, and delivering a fun, full-service customer experience.

You will train, open/close the store, support loss prevention, and ensure operations run smoothly while upholding Journeys’ culture and standards. Night and weekend shifts may be required, with incentives and benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance
• Assist in training and developing a successful sales team
• Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing all company policies and practices
• Perform all opening and closing duties according to company policy
• Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations in store management’s absence
• Supervise and manage all aspects of Loss Prevention practices in store management’s absence
• Effectively communicate all store needs to store management
• Complete all assigned tasks and responsibilities promptly
• Complete all required training
• Provide a fun, full service experience to all customers
• Resolve customer issues effectively
• Understand the Journeys culture and demonstrate it to the team
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Desire to succeed in fast-paced retail environment
• Willingness to learn
• Completion of all training programs leading up to Sales Lead position or equivalent training
• Ability to work night and weekend shifts
• Ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Stand for long periods of time
• Must be at least 18 years of age*
