Position Objective

The Sales Lead supports Management in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture, emphasizing our values and guiding principles in all store operations, including delivering great customer experiences and maximizing profitability. Functional Responsibilities
Drive for Results
  • Establishes and communicates clear expectations, holding store team and themselves accountable for achieving all brand, performance, and behavior standards.
  • Performs and oversees operational activities such as opening and closing duties, and merchandise flow processes.
  • Supervises associates involved in sales, inventory receipt, cash reconciliation, or customer services. Uses weekly schedules to ensure proper floor coverage within fiscal guidelines. Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions; presents and displays merchandise accordingly.
  • Maintains standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed by Management.
  • Develops a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to meet sales and productivity goals; meets personal sales goals.
  • Trains and coaches team members on product knowledge both online and in-store.
  • Supports locate fulfillment and selling efforts.
Build High Performing Teams
  • Motivates and inspires the store team, promoting a shared vision and modeling core values.
  • Encourages an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Communicates effectively with store teams and management to lead positive change.
  • Seeks personal development opportunities and solicits feedback to build leadership skills.
Customer Experience
  • Models, teaches, and promotes the MAPS principles, offering a cohesive omni-channel experience.
  • Utilizes sales techniques and product knowledge to meet customer needs; recommends merchandise and assists in locating items.
  • Builds a customer following through clienteling and wardrobing.
  • Ensures prompt resolution of customer concerns.
  • Maintains efficient register operations, staying current on policies regarding payments, returns, and security.
  • Maintains consistent communication with customers via customer books, rewards, and sign-ups.
Talent Development
  • Supports and follows up on training programs and seminars.
  • Assists in developing store associates, interpreting KPI reports, and providing coaching and feedback for performance evaluations.
  • Drives engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
  • Ensures adherence to employment practices and policies.

Other duties as assigned. This position may vary across brands.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to company technology
  • Knowledge of store operations
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable attendance and flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
  • Constant walking/standing (67-100% of shift)
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of shift)
  • Frequent climbing (34-66% of shift)
