A leading company in retail seeks an Associate Lead to support daily operations and promote outstanding customer service. The role involves supervising sales associates, managing inventory, and ensuring profitability. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, retail experience, and be flexible with scheduling. This position offers a wage range of $16 - $20 per hour, with comprehensive benefits including health and 401(k).
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Associate Lead supports store management in daily operations to ensure excellent customer service and profitability. Responsibilities include sales, register transactions, and team supervision.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote customer service by greeting and assisting customers; respond to inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Handle basic operational tasks such as cash handling, price changes, merchandise handling, and opening/closing duties; review payroll documentation.
- Monitor sales activities, acknowledge performance, motivate, and train associates.
- Be aware of customer needs and security risks; stay current on payment, exchange policies, and security practices.
- Know current sales and promotions; display merchandise accordingly.
- Manage inventory receipt and dispatch according to company policies.
- Supervise sales associates, inventory, cash reconciliation, and customer service; prepare weekly schedules.
- Demonstrate sales techniques, communicate product knowledge, and assist customers in merchandise selection.
- Build customer loyalty through clienteling and wardrobing.
- Maintain standards in merchandise presentation, loss prevention, and other duties.
- Participate in visual merchandising and store set-ups.
- Assist in staff development, interpret KPI reports, and provide coaching.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18+ years old.
- Preferred: 2+ years retail or sales management experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willing to travel within district stores.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of store operations.
- Physical ability to operate equipment, lift 50 pounds, and stand for long periods.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
- Wage range: $16.00 - $20.00, based on qualifications.
