Moto Acquire LLC in Chicago, IL is seeking an Account Executive to own the full sales cycle, from discovery to close. You’ll engage dealers nationwide for four products and report directly to the CEO. The role is based in-office, 5 days a week, with uncapped commissions and strong OTE.
You’ll work with a team that already has outbound and inbound leads, and you’ll be expected to rapidly set meetings, craft tailored demos, and push for fast closes while maintaining a healthy pipeline.
"With MotoAcquire we got more leads, more appointments, more cars bought and sold, and we made more margin on those deals."
Kyle Fale - Director of Variable Ops, Van Horn Automotive Group
Account Executive, Automotive
MOTO Acquire · Chicago, IL (in office, 5 days a week) · Full-time · Reports to the CEO
Base salary: $60,000 to $80,000 On-target earnings: $200,000 to $240,000 (uncapped commission)
You’ll run the whole sales cycle. Discovery, demo, close. We have four products and you’ll be talking to dealers all over the country. Some meetings come from our BDR team, as well as inbound leads, and you’ll source the rest yourself.
You report straight to the CEO. Nobody sits between you and the decisions.
We’re not handing you a list and a phone.
Meetings you didn’t have to set. Our BDR team books some, inbound brings in the rest. You’ll build on top of that, not live off it.
Live demand. Paid is running. Inbound is growing.
OEM certification. We’re certified in an OEM program covering a couple thousand franchise dealers, and every product we sell is co‑op eligible. If you’ve sold into stores, you know what a subsidized spend does to a close rate.
Onboarding and CS. You sell, they implement. You’re not the one on the install call at 7am.
The whole country. No territory box.
Four products. More surface area in every conversation and more reasons for a dealer to say yes.
MOTO(convert), the highest converting and most mobile friendly trade tool on the market
MOTO(retain), value tracking emails that keep past customers engaged and bring them back at the right moment
MOTO(drive), service drive acquisition that turns the service lane into a used car sourcing channel and a deal generator, so dealers pull inventory and write deals out of the same traffic
MOTO(social), tools for automotive salespeople who build their own book of business online
Dealers typically start with one product and expand from there.
Run a full sales cycle: discovery, demo, close
Hit new leads inside of two minutes. Not end of day. Not after your coffee. A dealer who just filled out a form is going to hear from three other vendors this afternoon, and the first real conversation usually wins.
Work meetings set by our BDR team along with inbound leads that come in on their own
Go get more than what’s handed to you. Target dealers, reach out, and set your own meetings. The people who do well here don’t wait for the calendar to fill.
Run real discovery before you demo, so what you put on the screen is what that store actually needs
Keep your pipeline clean and current in HubSpot
Travel occasionally for dealer group meetings and large group launches
You understand dealerships. Not the idea of dealerships, the actual building. You know who the GM, GSM, used car manager, and service director are, whose budget this comes out of, and why a deal dies in the last five minutes.
You follow a real sales methodology. MEDDPICC, Sandler, Challenger, SPIN, or something you’ve built and refined yourself. We don’t care which one. We care that you can name it, walk us through your stages, and show how it holds up in your pipeline. What we’re looking for is someone who understands a store’s situation before opening the demo, then shows the two or three things that solve it, rather than walking through every feature and hoping something lands.
You ask genuinely good questions. Discovery is the job. A rep who leads with a feature list loses to a rep who spent ten minutes understanding how the store sources used inventory.
You move fast on everything, not just leads. Follow up, paperwork, answering a GM’s text on a Saturday. Speed is most of the edge in this business.
You know how dealerships buy software. Who signs, how long it takes, what co‑op means, and what that store has already been burned by.
You understand how websites work. Our products live on the dealer’s site and in their process. You don’t need to write code, but you should be comfortable talking about a dealer’s website, their existing tech stack, and how a new tool sits alongside their CRM and DMS.
You take rejection like a professional. Dealers are incredibly busy running their complex businesses. You’ll get hung up on. You’ll get told they already have something like this. The job is to keep dialing anyway and get sharper each time.
You’re coachable and you self correct. You review your own calls without being told to. When something isn’t working, you audit and change it before anyone asks.
Automotive SaaS or vendor sales, including CRM, DMS, website, and digital advertising platforms

We care more about what you can demonstrate than how many years you’ve been doing it.
Anyone who can’t be in our Chicago office every weekday. We’re above Union Station. If that’s a dealbreaker, please don’t apply.
Anyone who’s never worked in or around a dealership.
Anyone who is just looking for a 9 to 5.
Base salary: $60,000 to $80,000, depending on experience
On-target earnings: $200,000 to $240,000
