Job summary

Groom & Sons' Home Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to help customers, answer questions, and create a positive shopping experience while supporting store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and POS systems.
• Retail experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of hardware, plumbing, electrical, paint, automotive and lawn/garden products preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Familiarity with cycle counting or inventory processes is beneficial.
• Strong customer service skills and willingness to help customers.
• Team player who contributes to a positive work environment.
• Ability to multitask and solve problems for customers.
• Physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs; flexible scheduling for nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Address and resolve customer issues with management support.

• Complete all training to stay up-to-date with product knowledge and policies.
• Assist in other departments as needed; perform other tasks assigned by supervisors.
