Job summary

Renew Cannabis Co. is seeking an experienced Sales Floor Manager for our California dispensary. You will lead and develop budtenders, drive sales performance, and uphold operational excellence to ensure every guest experiences outstanding service.

You will coach teams, optimize store operations, and maintain compliance while fostering a welcoming retail environment that supports loyalty and positive guest experiences.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on leader with coaching experience in fast-paced retail.
  • Knowledge of cannabis products and retail operations is a plus.

  • Lead, coach, and support budtenders and sales associates on each shift.

  • Open and close the dispensary, manage cash handling and security procedures.
  • Oversee staffing levels, break schedules, and daily task assignments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
  • Ensure compliance with California cannabis regulations and company policies.
  • Communicate updates to leadership and document incidents and discrepancies.

What You’ll Do
Lead Daily Retail Operations
  • Lead, coach, and support budtenders and sales associates throughout each shift.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
  • Open and close the dispensary, including cash handling, register reconciliation, and security procedures.
  • Manage staffing levels, break schedules, and daily task assignments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked sales floor.
  • Ensure operational checklists, cleaning duties, and closing procedures are completed accurately.
Deliver an Outstanding Guest Experience
  • Create a welcoming environment that encourages customer loyalty and repeat business.
  • Provide knowledgeable cannabis recommendations tailored to each guest’s needs.
  • Lead by example in customer engagement, upselling, and sales performance.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining a positive experience.
  • Stay current on cannabis products, strains, concentrates, edibles, beverages, vape products, and industry trends.
Develop and Lead Your Team
  • Train, mentor, and develop budtenders to build confidence, product knowledge, and sales skills.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, recognition, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct ongoing coaching and performance conversations.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Support company initiatives, promotions, and operational goals.
Compliance & Inventory
  • Ensure strict compliance with all California cannabis regulations and company policies.
  • Verify customer identification and eligibility requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, restocking, inventory documentation, and audits.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all cannabis products are stored, displayed, and tracked according to regulatory requirements.
Communication & Reporting
  • Communicate operational updates, staffing needs, customer feedback, and store performance to leadership.
  • Document inventory discrepancies, cash variances, incidents, and compliance concerns promptly.
  • Complete administrative tasks and reporting accurately and on time.
