What You’ll Do
Lead Daily Retail Operations
- Lead, coach, and support budtenders and sales associates throughout each shift.
- Ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
- Open and close the dispensary, including cash handling, register reconciliation, and security procedures.
- Manage staffing levels, break schedules, and daily task assignments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked sales floor.
- Ensure operational checklists, cleaning duties, and closing procedures are completed accurately.
Deliver an Outstanding Guest Experience
- Create a welcoming environment that encourages customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Provide knowledgeable cannabis recommendations tailored to each guest’s needs.
- Lead by example in customer engagement, upselling, and sales performance.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining a positive experience.
- Stay current on cannabis products, strains, concentrates, edibles, beverages, vape products, and industry trends.
Develop and Lead Your Team
- Train, mentor, and develop budtenders to build confidence, product knowledge, and sales skills.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, recognition, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct ongoing coaching and performance conversations.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
- Support company initiatives, promotions, and operational goals.
Compliance & Inventory
- Ensure strict compliance with all California cannabis regulations and company policies.
- Verify customer identification and eligibility requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, restocking, inventory documentation, and audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all cannabis products are stored, displayed, and tracked according to regulatory requirements.
Communication & Reporting
- Communicate operational updates, staffing needs, customer feedback, and store performance to leadership.
- Document inventory discrepancies, cash variances, incidents, and compliance concerns promptly.
- Complete administrative tasks and reporting accurately and on time.
