Role Description

We are looking for both full-time and part-time on-site role as a Retail Salesperson at Teak New York in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. As a Retail Salesperson, you will be responsible for assisting customers, providing product knowledge, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales. Below are the required duties:

• Proactively reach out and engage with customers at the Teak New York store, and assist with making suggestions and helping customer selection.
• Maintain a professional and positive presence on the sales floor.
• Perform register transactions, including sales and gift wrap.
• Respond to customer inquiries and assist in making selections.
• Execute daily maintenance by ensuring that all merchandise is clearly displayed, clean, and full.
• Cleaning and maintenance including dusting, vacuuming, and taking out trash and recyclables.
• Participating in physical inventory including unpacking product shipments and stock counts.
• Merchandising and stocking products on the sales floor in an eye-catching and easy to shop way to ensure an enjoyable shopping experience.
• Answering the phone and responding to customer inquiries.
• Host and serve food and beverage to customers and clients at evening events

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Experience with inventory management and visual merchandising a plus
• Interest in design and furniture is preferred
