Job description

As the Sales Floor Assistant, you are responsible for driving customer service to achieve profitable sales growth by leading and engaging associates, managing merchandise standards and execution, training and developing staff, and executing sales-building programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service & Sales: Model and hold the team accountable for delivering outstanding customer service. Actively listen to customer issues to resolve problems. Demonstrate WORTH behaviors consistently. Partner with team members when additional support is needed.
2. Door to Floor / Restock / RFID & Inventory: Collaborate with the Merchandise Supervisor to plan merchandise placement. Contribute to merchandise receipt, reverse logistics, and inventory processes such as cycle counts, system uploads, stock ledger, and RFID scans. Assist with restocking processes, including mismates and stockroom organization, and support replenishment opportunities.
3. SET / Visual / Environment: Assist with floor moves, graphic placement, and visual detailing based on company guidance. Identify sell-through opportunities and remerchandise the floor to increase sales. Oversee store recovery processes to maintain cleanliness and organization. Support visual merchandising efforts and stockroom maintenance.
4. Omnichannel (SVG 2-3): Support the jcp.com order process, including handling aged and undelivered orders and returns. Contribute to Buy Online Pick Up In Store and Ship from Store initiatives.
5. General Operations: Assist with merchandise transfers, returns to vendors and warehouses, and defective merchandise processes. Participate in annual inventory counts.
6. Performance Standards: Support shrink and safety initiatives. Meet performance standards for sales, customer service, profit, productivity, and attendance.
