Job description

As the Sales Floor Assistant, you are responsible for driving customer service to achieve profitable sales growth by leading and engaging associates, managing merchandise standards and execution, training and developing staff, and executing sales-building programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service & Sales: Model and hold the team accountable for delivering outstanding customer service. Actively listen to customer issues and resolve problems. Demonstrate WORTH behaviors consistently. Partner with team members when additional support is needed.
  2. Door to Floor / Restock / RFID & Inventory: Collaborate with the Merchandise Supervisor to plan merchandise placement. Assist with merchandise receipt, reverse logistics, inventory processes (cycle counts, system uploads, stock ledger, RFID scans), and restocking processes, including mismates and stockroom organization.
  3. SET / Visual / Environment: Assist with floor moves, graphics placement, and visual detailing based on company guidance. Identify sell-through opportunities and remerchandise to increase sales. Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including fitting rooms and stockroom.
  4. Omnichannel (SVG 2-3 only): Support jcp.com order processing, including handling aged and undelivered orders/returns. Contribute to Buy Online Pick Up In Store and Ship from Store processes.
  5. General Operations: Support activities like Merchandise Transfer Out (MTO), Return to Vendor, Return to Warehouse, and the Defective MTO process. Participate in annual inventory counts.
  6. Performance Standards: Support shrink and safety initiatives. Meet performance standards related to sales, customer service, profit, productivity, and attendance.
