ABOUT ITS AMERICA EVENTS:
The Intelligent Transport Society of America’s (ITS) Annual Meetings and World Congress are currently the established meeting places for the Intelligent Transportation Community, with a specific focus on monitoring and management of road traffic, improving life safety on roadways and evaluating the technologies and strategies for the future of the transportation infrastructure. ITSA events largely target Department of Transportations (DoTs) at both the Federal and State levels and the broader ITS ecosystem: researchers, engineers, system integrators, tech providers, and analysts. The current format includes a conference, expo hall, and technical demonstrations. The conference program draws attendees and covers a broad mix of innovative topics such as equity & accessibility, intelligent, connected and autonomous vehicles, sustainability, vehicle to everything solutions (V2X) and more.
WHAT’S EXCITING ABOUT THIS JOB?
The Sales Executive for ITS America Events will be joining a highly experienced team, including the association partner – ITS America, with deep knowledge of trade show management and experience on within the ITS industry. Working on this well-established brand, you will prospect for new business and develop existing accounts within your territory. You will sell not only booth space, but promotional opportunities and digital products to help customers showcase their brand and exceed their goals for the show. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced B2B salesperson who is able to manage a large customer base, is highly consultative and skilled at building deep customer relationships. Our show draws major brands such as Qualcomm, HNTB, Amazon Web Services, Siemens Mobility, Axis Communications, Intel, Bosch Security & Safety Systems and more! Excellent opportunities to travel and attend shows in major cities across the US and overseas.
BRING YOUR PASSION AND EXPERTISE:
The Sales Executive is responsible for achieving revenue space and media sales goals through prospecting and driving new business along with growing your existing territory. You should be excited by prospecting for new business and calling on new prospects to build the show and add to the diversity of our customer base. You should have a passion for solution selling and ensuring our customers have a successful experience.
You will work closely with Event Management to develop selling strategy aimed at augmenting and cultivating an assigned territory of prospects and potential customers by identifying new segments, territories, and opportunities that fit into the overall event strategy and drive continued product development. Regularly provide Management with forecasts against the sales strategy and budget. Continue to drive Media Sales opportunities with a heighted focus on digital products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Sales Management to develop individual selling strategy designed to generate pipeline of prospects and ultimately drive sales to ensure a minimum of 100% attainment of sales target for booth and media sales.
Achieve productivity standards and adhere to all selling process best practices and standards including - inputting accurate and complete data, managing territory, daily output goals, weekly strike rates, assigned budgets, etc.
Proactively monitor industry trends, competitive environment, climate, players, distribution and issues to make recommendations regarding sales strategy on specific events
Sell at competitive shows and prepare competitive show analysis and reports in an accurate and timely manner, including recommended actions necessary to increase sales from these leads
Manage and broaden Exhibitor Prospect Lists and generate targeted lists to increase the probability of sales
Utilize all internal tools to create a more effective and efficient selling environment
Forecast revenue projections
Participate in training programs and role plays

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLSETS:
Education
Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge and Skills
