Primary Responsibilities
  1. Achieve revenue and profitability targets set by sales leadership.
  2. Network and prospect within assigned territories to understand the basketball landscape and build relationships with teams and clubs.
  3. Maintain and update data on clubs and teams using customer retention tools like Excel and Salesforce.
  4. Collaborate with sales managers and colleagues to expand network and share contacts beyond your territory.
  5. Stay informed about market shifts, new products, and the competitive landscape.
  6. Participate in events, tournaments, conferences, and other basketball-related activities to develop new business opportunities.
  7. Engage in sales operations, including profitability analysis, proposals, contracts, and post-sale relationship management.
  8. Be adaptable and eager to learn about new sport categories to increase your value to the organization.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
  2. 5+ years of outside sales experience; experience in the basketball industry is preferred.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  4. Strong financial literacy skills.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  6. Effective workflow management, responsibilities understanding, data-driven decision-making, and prioritization skills.
Additional Requirements
  • Deep knowledge of the basketball landscape in North America.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, to meet sales targets and client needs.
