Job Title: Sales Executive - Alfresco Document Management
Job Location: fully remote (but if you live near the DC metro area, then we are considering a hybrid solution between remote and our office in Vienna VA)
Clearance Requirement: N/A
Employment Period: Full Time starting immediately
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience) and a minimum of 2+ years in selling Alfresco solutions and products
Expected Travel: travel expected to local client sites as needed
Summary Description
We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable Sales Executive to join our team, focused on selling Alfresco-based Enterprise Content Management (ECM) product, solutions and related services. The ideal candidate will combine technical solution awareness with strong business development skills, helping organizations improve document management, workflow automation, and information governance using Alfresco’s platform.
A successful candidate will build market positions by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships and identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements. The candidate must have good interpersonal, communication, writing and client relationship management skills. Prior retired Government employees who have experience in Federal IT contracts with relevant business / user requirement are welcomed to send resumes.
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for Alfresco solutions (cloud and on-premise).
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospects across small business and enterprise clients.
- Meet and exceed quarterly/annual sales targets.
- Design a systematic business development approach/ strategy (to be refreshed on a yearly basis) for growing core clients while obtaining and managing new clients
- Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, and screen potential business opportunities
- Take a lead role in the development of presentations and materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
- Support development of intellectual capital to emphasize OmniSolve's unique value proposition in the marketplace
- Implement a scalable business development framework and organization to support OmniSolve’s growth
Client Engagement
- Understand client business needs around content management, document workflows, compliance, and digital transformation.
- Deliver tailored presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on Alfresco solutions and integrations (e.g., with Salesforce, SAP, Office 365, etc.).
- Cultivate and manage senior-level client relationships and provide input in client deliverables and client meetings.
- Develop long-term partnerships and ensure customer satisfaction.
Collaboration
- Work closely with technical consultants, solution architects, and delivery teams to design and scope solutions.
- Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns, events, and lead generation.
- Provide customer feedback to product and partner teams.
Account Management
- Manage relationships with existing clients to drive renewals, upsells, and cross-sell opportunities.
- Support capture for proposal work where needed
The candidate must have:
- Experience
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas.
- Minimum of 2+ years in software sales in Alfresco ECM and document management, and ideally related competitor enterprise software.
- Understand the competitive landscape around document management and enterprise content management, i.e. experience with similar platforms such as Hyland, OpenText, M-Files, SharePoint, etc.
- Demonstrated business development and sales success in commercial IT management consulting specific to Alfresco.
- Experience serving as a leader within a small business consulting firm.
- Proven ability to attract, acquire and develop client and partner relationships.
- Has and can leverage an established and strong network within both the private sector.
- Skills
- Strong understanding of ECM, business process management (BPM), document management, and digital transformation trends.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Strong pipeline management and CRM experience, i.e. Monday, Smartsheets, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.
- High level of self-motivation and energy, including the ability to serve as an individual contributor
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
- Experience in the federal sector
