Position Purpose:

Secures new business by selling Regulated Medical Waste and Compliance service solutions. Responsible for growing revenue and profitability in the North LA territory by selling Regulated Medical Waste and Compliance Services (OSHA/HIPAA), while meeting or exceeding established annual goals. The territory includes major cities such as Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Santa Barbara, Burbank, Glendale, and Bakersfield. Residing within the territory is required.

Key Job Activities:
  • Call blocks to healthcare facilities to schedule on-site appointments throughout the week, demonstrating capabilities in Compliance and building a strong pipeline.
  • Utilize prospecting and business development skills to achieve new business, selling regulated medical waste, OSHA, and HIPAA Compliance solutions by demonstrating product knowledge and value propositions.
  • Re-engage previous Stericycle customers to win back lost business by demonstrating capabilities and aligning solutions with their needs.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with new and existing customers, leveraging face-to-face interactions and growing the business with additional services.
  • Follow up on targeted marketing campaigns to grow business within the territory.
  • Identify under-developed market areas within the territory and implement initiatives to increase market penetration and sales.
Education:

Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Experience:
  • 2-3 years of field/outside sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in a business-to-business environment with varying sales cycles and decision levels preferred.
  • Experience in high-volume/high-transaction industries preferred.
  • Post-secondary education (College/University degree) strongly desired.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce or similar) and SAP knowledge advantageous.
  • Strong sales pipeline development skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, and social media.
  • Results-oriented with a sense of urgency; motivated by success.
  • Ability to travel within the territory daily; minimal long-distance travel.
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
  • Salary range: Base $68,640-$72k; OTE $170k-$175k; uncapped commission.
