Job Description

Reporting to the Director, A&E Business Development & Engineering, the Sales Engineer is responsible for providing elite technical expertise as a subject matter expert in solving complex challenges faced by customers in protecting their people, property, and business interests. You will work closely with your sales team and channel partners to deliver solutions leveraging edge-based neural networks and leading security technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the sales team with MSI VS&A brands: Avigilon Unity and Alta (Video & Access Control), Pelco (Video, Calypsa & Videotec).
  • Engage in opportunities with the sales team and provide technical solutions to stakeholders.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-Level executives.
  • Provide system design consultation, including quoting, architecture, compliance, and bill of materials.
  • Build and maintain strong customer and partner relationships through technical thought leadership.
  • Act as a conduit for feedback to product management, marketing, and development teams.
  • Create technical collateral such as training materials, videos, and documentation.
  • Stay current on MSI products, industry trends, and relevant certifications through ongoing training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • At least 3 years’ experience in sales engineering or presales for video/access control products.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and passion for technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with knowledge of IP networking, protocols, and security.
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Technical certifications in cloud computing, networking, storage, cybersecurity, or APIs/SDKs are preferred.
  • Experience with MSI Video Security & Access Control products is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Travel

50%+ within the territory, with potential for limited international travel.

Basic Requirements

3+ years in Sales, Engineering, Presales, or Solutions Architecture in Video or related fields.

Travel Requirements

Over 50% travel.
