OnPoint Tech Systems, a premier design and integration firm in South Florida, seeks an experienced Sales Engineer in Delray Beach. You will own the design and estimating process for residential and commercial projects across AV, automation, lighting and more, building detailed proposals and guiding clients through options.

You will read architectural plans, price accurately, and coordinate with builders and designers, ensuring margins and on-time handoffs to the project team.

Formación

• 5+ years in AV, automation, lighting control, security, or low-voltage integration

Responsabilidades

• Own design and estimating for residential and commercial projects across AV, automation, lighting, networking, security, and electrical
• Review plans; perform takeoffs and device layouts
• Design systems using Control4, Crestron, Savant, Lutron; networking, surveillance, access control
• Build detailed proposals with equipment, labor, scope, inclusions, exclusions, and options
• Attend site walkthroughs and design meetings with clients, builders, and designers
• Present designs and proposals to help clients choose within budget
• Produce marked-up plans, rack elevations, diagrams, and wiring schedules
• Collect and validate vendor pricing to protect margins
• Track bids and revise estimates as plans change
• Hand off sold projects to project management with complete scope and labor plan
• Grow sales pipeline with design and estimating work
• Stay current on products and pricing through manufacturer training

OnPoint Tech Systems (along with OnPoint Electric) designs, installs, and supports advanced technology and electrical systems for luxury homes and high‑end commercial environments throughout South Florida.

We work with smart home automation, lighting control, motorized shades, audio/video, networking, security, access control, and electrical systems. Our projects are engineered integrations—not cookie‑cutter installations.

We're looking for an experienced Sales Engineer who can turn a client conversation, a set of plans, and a budget into a complete, accurate, profitable system design and proposal. You will own design and estimating from first walkthrough to signed contract and a clean handoff to the project team.

If you can read a set of architectural plans, design the right system, price it correctly, and stand behind every line item, we should talk.

What You'll Do

• Own the design and estimating process for residential and commercial projects across all OnPoint divisions (AV, automation, lighting & shades, networking, security, and electrical)
• Review architectural, electrical, and lighting plans; perform takeoffs and device layouts
• Design systems using Control4, Crestron, Savant, Lutron, networking, surveillance, and access control platforms
• Build detailed proposals with equipment, labor, scope, inclusions, exclusions, and options
• Attend site walkthroughs and design meetings with clients, builders, architects, and designers
• Present designs and proposals clearly and help clients choose the right solution for their budget
• Produce marked-up plans, rack elevations, line diagrams, and wiring schedules
• Collect and validate vendor and distributor pricing to protect margins
• Track bids, follow up on open proposals, and revise estimates as plans change
• Hand off sold projects to project management with complete scope, documentation, and labor plan
• Support Jarred's sales pipeline on design and estimating; bringing in new leads is a plus
• Stay current on products, pricing, and best practices through manufacturer training

The Sales Engineer We're Looking For

You may be a strong fit if you:

• Have 5+ years of experience in AV, automation, lighting control, security, or low‑voltage integration, including 2+ years designing or estimating projects
• Have hands‑on knowledge of Control4, Crestron, Savant, Lutron, networking, cameras, and access control
• Read and understand architectural and electrical plans
• Build accurate estimates with labor and material costs and know what a project really takes to install
• Communicate professionally with high‑end clients, builders, and design teams
• Are organized, detail‑oriented, and meet deadlines without being chased
• Look for solutions instead of excuses and own your numbers
• Work on‑site in Delray Beach and report directly to Jarred Isgette

Experience with iPoint, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, CAD, or D‑Tools is strongly preferred (we'll match the tool to your experience). Electrical estimating knowledge is a plus; no electrical license required. Field experience as a technician or programmer, CEDIA or manufacturer certifications are a big plus. A valid driver's license is required. Background check and drug test required.

• $80,000–$100,000 salary based on experience
