OnPoint Tech Systems in South Florida is seeking an experienced Electrician to lead residential and commercial electrical work with pride and autonomy. You will handle installations from rough-in to final trim, reading plans and executing cleanly on your own under our licensed contractor.

• 5+ years of hands-on residential and/or commercial electrical experience and NEC knowledge.
• Work independently and finish quality work without micromanagement.
• Experience with smart lighting systems or generator/power management is a plus.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Responsabilités

• Run residential and commercial electrical installations, retrofits, and service work independently.
• Install, upgrade, and balance electrical panels, subpanels, and load centers.
• Run conduit, pull wire, and rough-in power for custom homes, remodels, and commercial buildouts.
• Install architectural, recessed, linear/LED tape, and landscape lighting fixtures.
• Wire and terminate smart lighting panels, dimmers, keypads, and motorized shade power.
• Install EV chargers, surge protection, generators, and smart battery backup systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using testing; read blueprints and schedules.
• Complete labeling, circuit directories, testing, and maintain clean work areas.
• Collaborate with low-voltage techs, PMs, builders, and inspectors.

Experienced Residential & Commercial Electrician

Full-Time | $28-$38 Per Hour Based On Experience

Do High-End Electrical Work That Sets the Standard

OnPoint Tech Systems (along with OnPoint Electric) designs, installs, and supports advanced electrical and technology systems for luxury homes and commercial spaces across South Florida.

We handle full-scope electrical installations alongside smart home automation, architectural and motorized lighting control, audio/video, networking, security, and backup power. Our projects are engineered integrations - not cookie-cutter installs.

We’re looking for a self-sufficient Electrician who takes real pride in their craft, owns their work from rough-in to final trim, and doesn’t need someone standing over their shoulder. You do not need your own electrical license—we are a licensed electrical contractor, and you will work under our license. What you do need is strong field skill, a no-excuses work ethic, and the standard to do the job right the first time.

If you can walk onto a jobsite, read the plans, and execute cleanly on your own, we should talk.

What You’ll Do

• Run residential and commercial electrical installations, retrofits, and service work independently
• Install, upgrade, and balance electrical panels, subpanels, and load centers with clean, organized makeup
• Run conduit, pull wire, and rough-in power for custom homes, remodels, and commercial buildouts
• Install architectural, recessed, linear/LED tape, and landscape lighting fixtures
• Wire and terminate smart lighting panels, dimmers, keypads, and motorized shade power (Lutron, Crestron, Control4, Savant)
• Install EV chargers, surge protection, generators, and smart battery backup systems (such as Savant Power)
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, circuits, and load issues using logic and testing - not guesswork
• Read blueprints, electrical risers, reflected ceiling plans, and lighting schedules
• Complete accurate labeling, circuit directories, testing, project photos, and keep work areas spotless
• Work as one team with our low-voltage technicians, project managers, builders, and inspectors - zero finger-pointing

The Electrician We’re Looking For

You’ll thrive here if you:

• Have 5+ years of hands-on residential and/or commercial electrical experience and know the NEC and South Florida code
• Work independently and finish quality work without being micromanaged
• Care about the details most people skip - straight conduit, clean cuts, dressed panels, and accurate labels
• Respect the client’s property and keep finished luxury homes clean and organized
• Show up on time, prepared, and follow through on what you say you’ll do
• Look for solutions instead of excuses and want a long-term home where your work matters

An active Journeyman or Master license is not required since we are fully licensed. Experience with smart lighting systems (Lutron HomeWorks/RadioRA, centralized panels) or generator/power management is a big plus, and we will train the right electrician on our integration platforms. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
