Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer (Service) to grow and manage customer accounts by combining technical knowledge with strategic sales experience.

You will identify customer needs and develop service solutions that support reliability, performance, and ongoing maintenance of industrial refrigeration systems. Responsibilities include selling service agreements, creating proposals, negotiating terms, and coordinating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• BSME from an accredited institution.
• CRM proficiency and ability to communicate technical concepts.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders from site-level staff to C-suite.

Responsibilities

Job Role: The Sales Engineer (Service) leads efforts to grow and manage customer accounts by combining technical knowledge with strategic sales experience. This role identifies customer needs and develops service solutions that support the reliability, performance, and ongoing maintenance of industrial refrigeration systems—while ensuring strong relationships and customer satisfaction.

Key Duties

• Identify customer needs and recommend service solutions that improve system reliability, performance, efficiency, and lifecycle value.
• Sell and manage service and preventive maintenance agreements, including renewals, expansions, and upgrades.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals for service agreements, maintenance contracts, repairs, retrofits, and service projects.
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and scope while maintaining company profitability and customer value.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to project delivery for new and existing customers
• Serve as a trusted advisor and point of contact for assigned accounts
• Partner with internal teams to coordinate service and product implementation
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings
• Facilitate post-sale customer service and ensure follow-through on deliverables
• Support lead generation through cold calling, referrals, networking, and content marketing
• Maintain accurate records in CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce)

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an accredited institution
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to communicate technical concepts
• Ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders from site-level staff to C-suite executives
• CRM proficiency (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms)
• Effective project management, organizational, and professional communication skills
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated or standing) for extended periods
• Occasionally may need to lift or carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., office supplies, small equipment)

Preferences

• Experience in industrial or refrigeration sales
• Familiarity with engineering-based services or compliance programs
• Strong customer service and relationship-building background
