Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking a problem solver with an application engineering or programming background in BAS controls to support System Integrators and End-User customers with the adoption of advanced building technologies.

This remote role requires travel and involves collaborating with sales, engineering, and product teams. You will work with customers to demonstrate features, support onboarding, and stay current on product capabilities and limitations while contributing to successful project

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of Tridium Niagara Framework and EC-Net as a core solution.
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems and control logic.
• Ability to write programs for HVAC control and explain complex topics clearly.
• Solid understanding of protocols: BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks.
• Fundamental MSTP and IP networking concepts.
• Experience with IoT integrations and APIs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Launch new product introductions and support onboarding.
• Conduct tech-focused sessions, webinars, and lunch-and-learns.
• Assist with onboarding new customers and system integrators.
• Attend industry trade shows to showcase solutions.
• Demonstrate product features and provide training.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams on capabilities and limits.
• Manage commitments with customers and regional sales managers.
• Stay informed on product advancements and roadmaps.

Job Summary

We are looking for a problem solver with an application engineering and/or programming background in BAS controls to help support our network of System Integrators and End-User customers with adoption of the best technology our industry has to offer.

This position is Remote (work from home) and does require company-paid travel. You will work directly with your System Integrators, End User Customers, and Regional Sales Managers to create and manage your own schedule of commitments.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Attending Industry trade shows
• Product feature demonstrations
• Providing supplemental product training
• Supporting projects that are adopting new technology for the first time
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to stay informed about product capabilities, advancements, and limitations.

Skills And Minimum Experience Required

• Exceptional knowledge and understanding of the Tridium Niagara Framework. EC-Net (The Distech Brand of Tridium Niagara) is a cornerstone of a Distech Controls solution. You should be confident in your ability to take a station from scratch with no templates to a complete automation system.
• A solid fundamental understanding of HVAC systems.
• Ability to think logically and write programs for HVAC control.
• Have a knack for explaining often tough and complicated topics in layman’s terms.
• Fundamental understanding of protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, Lonworks
• Fundamental understanding of MSTP and IP networking

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Experience with IoT integrations and API’s
• Ability to write code in computer programming languages such as Python, Java, C++
• Your personal hobbies include tinkering, building, or creating
• Advanced understanding of IP networking
• Experience with Linux and or Docker/Containers

The range for this position is $83,300.00 to $164,400.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
