Job summary

A leading solutions provider is seeking a Product Manager in Schaumburg, IL. This role requires a strong sales acumen and experience with fluid power systems. Responsibilities include supporting sales efforts, managing customer quotations, and providing training to distributors and territory managers. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the industry and a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. The Product Manager will support the business and sales team in mobile hydraulic solutions. This is a critical role to help with growth in the organization and being a strong customer partner for mobile sectional and mobile valves.

You will make an impact in this role by:

• Having a sales acumen.
• Provide support to Application Engineering and Field Sales.
• Handle Customer Quotations and price strategies and prepare price lists.
• Responsible for Distributor, Territory Manager, and Customer Service training initiatives.
• Recommend new products or modifications.
• Recommend and monitor stock levels.
• Develop and update product literature and new product publicity.
• Prepare and present product presentations, reports, plans, etc.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Must have excellent customer service skills to respond to customer needs and requests for service and assistance.
• Ability to develop effective relationships with customers, distributors, and regional sales managers.
• Must be able to travel 30% - 40% of the time (roughly one week per month).
• This will be an in-office role in Schaumburg, IL.

Requirements

To be considered for the Product Manager role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a related industry
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field Required; Engineering (ME) Degree Preferred.
• Experience with fluid power, hydraulics or pneumatics.
• Fluid Power Specialist certification a plus.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing.
