The role involves educating clients on IoT solutions, leveraging technical expertise to influence and build relationships, and ensuring successful product implementation. About the role
As a Sales Engineer at Samsara, you’ll be part of a diverse team helping modernize essential industries through cutting-edge IoT solutions. This role specifically supports our Public Sector customer base (City/County/State/Public Schools; excludes Federal level). Examples include Waste Management fleets, City Buses, Police Cars, Fire Trucks, School Buses, Snow Plows, and similar operations. Your work contributes to a cleaner, more efficient supply chain by enabling safer roadways, reducing fuel consumption and emissions, and providing a consolidated platform for connecting operations. You will engage with customers on how IoT can impact logistics management, workplace safety programs, fleet maintenance, asset management, and regulatory compliance. The role requires a thorough understanding of IoT hardware and sensors, hands-on hardware installation strategies, data collection over carrier networks, cloud infrastructure, and building third-party system integrations via our open API to ensure the best technical solution for customers.
Citizenship and location
Because this role supports our Public Sector customer base, all candidates must be US citizens. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the United States, excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, NYC Area, and Washington, D.C. Area. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.

The range of annual on-target earnings (OTE) for this full-time role is below and may vary by city and experience: $92,879.50 – $140,490 USD.
