Job summary

KnowBe4, based in Clearwater, seeks a Sales Engineer in a developmental role shaping the intersection of cybersecurity and technical sales. You will start in mentorship, supporting Senior Sales Engineers, then engage SMB customers with product demos and POV delivery as you grow.

You will serve as the technical contact during POVs, manage implementations, and escalate to senior team members when needed. A strong pipeline and teamwork mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 year degree or technical degree preferred.
• Prior experience in a customer-facing technical role is a plus.
• Experience with Google Workspace.
• Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Experience with M365 and Exchange Online.

• Shadow and assist senior colleagues with POVs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve baseline technical problems arising in the sales process.
• Provide technical support and input to Sales team when required.
• Record and track POV activity in Salesforce.

The Sales Engineer role at KnowBe4 is a developmental position focused on mastering the intersection of cybersecurity and technical sales. Initially, you will operate in a mentorship capacity, supporting Senior Sales Engineers to learn the nuances of our product suite and the sales cycle. As your technical proficiency grows, you will transition to directly engaging with SMB customers, attending meetings and conducting product demonstrations. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact during the Proof of Value (POV) process, managing implementation and optimization while having direct access to senior team members for high-level technical escalations.
