Sales Engineer - Fully Remote, High-Tech Industrial Applications

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Sales Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design and manufacturing of high-performance capital equipment for high temperature and corrosive applications such as Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, and Catalyst Baskets. Based in the South Central U.S., this fully remote role requires a professional who can drive revenue growth, develop business opportunities, and offer technical solutions featuring high-performance alloys in the global nitric acid market. Salary: DOE per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets in the nitric acid and related sectors.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and purchasing specialists.
  • Utilize technical expertise in alloy materials to address client needs and challenges, particularly in corrosion resistance.
  • Guide potential clients through tailored solutions, highlighting the advantages of our customized products for their specific applications.
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor movements, ensuring our offerings remain competitive and relevant.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering, product development, and production, to ensure customer requirements are met effectively and efficiently.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Material Science, or a closely related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales engineering within the chemical, nitric acid, or metals and alloys industries.
  • Demonstrated ability in solution-based selling and consultative sales approaches.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of the nitric acid industry and high-performance alloys applications.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills tailored for a technologically sophisticated audience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed across North America and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional engineering license or sales training certifications.
  • Proven track record in securing large-scale contracts and nurturing client relationships over long sales cycles.

Skills:

  • Expertise in engineering concepts related to capital equipment in corrosive and high temperature environments.
  • Strong analytical skills to effectively assess client needs and propose adequate technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
