Summary:
The Sales Engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing the technical aspect of the sales process, working in conjunction with the Customer and the engineering team as the key technical advisor and product advocate. This position reports into the Branch Manager. Travel is required; around 1,500-2k miles a month.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide responses for product and technical requests
· Performs Customer needs assessments and conducting solution finding sessions
· Improves product specification layout and detail according to the distinguishing features of a product line
· Responds to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
· Provides specifications and quotes to prospective and current Customers
· Participation as requested at conferences, tradeshows, and other sales or product related events
· Provides knowledge and product line training to peers and sales staff
· Understands product capability gaps or functionality to define ways to handle them using partners, product enhancements, etc.
· Defines the best products to address Customer requirements
· Ability to design and deliver effective presentations or demonstrations in time-constrained situations
· Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
· Other duties may be required
Assigned Territory: Northwest of lower Michigan territory (Cadillac and Traverse City etc)

Evolution Motion Solutions is headquartered in Farmers Branch, TX with additional offices in TX, UT, AL, AZ, MT, OK, MA, MI IN, IL, OH and Canada. This position will be based out of our Auburn Hills, MI facility.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection.
EDUCATION:
· A Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related field is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial sales, or a related field.
· Proven track record in sales, especially in selling technical products or services.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Demonstrated sales success in complicated environments with technical buyers.
· Expert knowledge and good understanding of distribution, supply chain, and manufacturing business issues.
· Ability to professionally respond in writing to RFPs and prepare reports.
· Able to meet tight deadlines and follow up on commitments.
· Strong technical knowledge of industrial hydraulic systems, components, and applications.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, effectively present complex information to a variety of audiences, the ability to persuade or influence, and the ability to actively listen.
· Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
· Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
· Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong work ethic pursuing a high standard of excellence.
· Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some movement from area to area, transporting of items such as a laptop computer, small products or parts, product books or catalogs. Position also requires long periods of sitting while driving or riding as a passenger in an automobile to customer sites. Ability to effectively communicate using company-issued devices such as laptop, mobile phone, etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to a general office environment, indoor and outdoor environments including temperature variances. Must be able to move through customer sites, including warehouses, shipyards, oil field rigs, manufacturing facilities, and related machinery, etc. Work outside normal business hours is required.
Travel is required; around 2k miles a month.
