Position Overview

Sandvik Coromant in the Central IL region is looking for a Sales Engineer.

Location: Ideal location would be in or around Peoria, IL.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support customer portfolio by understanding their needs and providing an excellent customer experience through the full Coromant offer.
  2. Align development strategies with local business plans to increase market share.
  3. Manage sales activities, support forecasting, and develop customer relationships.
  4. Coordinate support from technical sales teams and external partners.
  5. Regularly review results and implement corrective actions.
  6. Maintain existing market share and seek new opportunities.
  7. Provide market intelligence on customers and competitors.

  2. Secure project work and involve company resources accordingly.

Candidate Profile
  1. Degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or related field.
  2. Proven experience with engineering cutting tools and technical sales.
  3. Successful track record in business results and negotiations.
  4. Knowledge of customer relationship management.
  5. People management experience is a plus.
  6. Valid driver’s license for primary residence state.
Required Competencies
  1. Proactive sales and business activity management.
  2. Ability to manage complex customer relationships.
  3. Strong relationship-building skills.
  4. Effective negotiation and presentation skills in English.
  5. Willingness to travel approximately 10% overnight.
