Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Sales Engineer focused on Articulated Arms and 3D Scanners for the Northeast US region. This is a Remote position.

  • About the Role
  • The Sales Engineer P3 will serve as a key technical advisor and solution consultant to both prospective and existing customers, specifically focusing on the articulated arm product line. This individual will work closely with the sales and product teams to provide pre-sales technical support, demonstrations, and post-sales application guidance in a fully remote capacity covering the Northeast US region.
Job Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and articulate technical advantages of articulated arm and 3D Scanning solutions.
  • Support the regional sales team with technical expertise during the pre-sales process.
  • Collaborate with marketing and application engineering to develop customer-specific solutions.
  • Train distributors and customers on best practices for deployment and use of articulated arms.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and stay informed on industry trends.
  • Manage post-sale support in coordination with service teams.
  • Assist with tradeshows and industry events.
  • Maintain accurate activity reports in CRM tools.
  • Engage in continual learning and internal technical training.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales or application engineering, preferably in industrial metrology.
  • Strong knowledge of articulated arms and 3D measurement systems.
  • Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time remotely.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% within the Northeast US region.
  • Familiarity with software such as PC-DMIS, Inspire, Recreate, Bending Studio, Spatial Analyzer, GeoMagic, V-Tube, PolyWorks, Metrolog X4, or similar is a plus.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment.
  • Regular communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Required to lift demo equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Must be able to travel frequently by car and air.
  • Remote/home-based office setup.
  • Travel to customer sites, events, and Hexagon offices as needed.
