Job summary

A leading agricultural technology company is seeking a Sales Engineer to develop business using technical expertise on their Ag solutions. This role requires understanding farming machinery and practices, plus strong technical skills in areas such as hydraulic systems and GNSS. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in the Ag machinery sector and will travel approximately 50% of the time. This position is remote in selected European countries.

  • Participate in Advanced Release Program for new products.

Trimble is recruiting for a Sales Engineer (m/f/d) to join the team.

Job Summary

The Sales Engineer is putting efforts on developing the business in the region using technical skills and knowledge on the Trimble Ag solutions and the market. He is working on technical process optimization, product training, shows and events and centralizing market feedback to offer customers the best user experience.

His missions are coordinated with the European sales organization. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Sales Engineer will focus on the east of the region (PL, CZ, SK and HU mainly), completing a team of 3 sales engineers.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Pre-sales support: Coordination and liaison between Trimble and its commercial partners and customers on the technical aspects of the product portfolio.
  • Pre-sales support: Technical point of contact for OEMs and Enterprise accounts in the region.
  • Pre-sales support: Supporting Trimble partners for demonstration or special project validation.
  • Marketing: Support Trimble’s presence at shows.
  • Marketing: Adapt and tailor product information to meet regional/local needs.
  • Marketing: Gather and report market feedback and product/feature needs to the Trimble organization.
  • Marketing: Provide input on competitive products and activities.
  • Training: Develop the technical skills of distribution partners on Trimble products and technologies applicable to Precision Agriculture with the training team.
  • Training: Engineering: participate in Advanced Release Program for the launch of new products (validation/testing with Trimble partners and end-customers).
Required competencies
  • Good understanding of farming machinery and practices.
  • Strong technical skills (hydraulic, electricity, mechanic, Isobus, GNSS).
  • Speak fluent English.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Confident to voice ideas.
  • Organized and accurate.
  • Teamplayer who will enjoy working in a multinational environment.
  • Travels approximately 50% of the time.
  • 2-3 years minimum of experience in the Ag machinery sector.
