Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking candidates for a Retail Personal Banker II track. Selected candidates will enter a 4-8 week onboarding and education program with rotations in Operations and Sales & Service, culminating in a certification to qualify for the Retail Personal Banker role.

The role emphasizes consultative selling of deposits, loans, and fee-based services, and relationship-building with customers. It includes guidance from Banking Partners and targets cross-selling and customer retention

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in financial industry preferred.
• Proven ability to develop comfort with sales activities.
• Strong math skills for credit and financial calculations.
• Professional appearance and communication.
• Knowledge of Retail policies and procedures.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration required.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions.
• Use CAMP and Marketing tools to reach out to customers and set appointments for financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities as directed.
• Establish relationships with Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial, Investment) and refer customers as needed.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals and drive year-over-year revenue growth.
• Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referral processes.
• Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Bank policies and risk controls.
• Follow Code of Conduct and Ethics and appropriate policy procedures.
• Assist in opening/servicing the full range of Retail products.
• Participate in consumer loan and bankcard processes from application to closing.
• Assist in opening/closing Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed.
