Nell Hill's is seeking a motivated Designer to join our Design Team in a retail setting. You will help enrich lives through inspired spaces, balancing hands-on sales with design guidance and customer care.

On the floor, you’ll engage clients, propose space plans, and present detailed proposals. This role emphasizes closing sales while delivering exceptional client experiences in a fast-paced environment. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Formal training or a degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field is a plus - but equivalent experience and a genuine passion for design are welcome.
• Prior experience in retail sales or a client-facing design role is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in design tools and software (floor planning, mood boards, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously is required.
• Passion for home décor, furnishings, and the Nell Hill's brand is essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive Sales on the floor by engaging clients, identifying opportunities, and closing sales with confidence.
• Design Consultations advising clients on space planning, layouts, color schemes, and product selections.
• Create Compelling Presentations with quotes, floor plans, and product specs for client review.
• Own the Client Experience by following up to ensure satisfaction and resolving issues quickly.
• Build & Maintain a Client Book by reaching out to past and potential clients and nurturing relationships.
• Be a Team Player by collaborating with colleagues and supporting the sales floor.
