Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc. is seeking a CAD/Layout engineer to produce accurate equipment layouts for sales proposals. You will create 2D AutoCAD layouts and 3D SolidWorks models, and gather project details to define system concepts that meet customer specs.

You will revise drawings, research requirements, and support project quotes while traveling minimally by car or plane. Collaboration with sales and engineering is essential to deliver compelling, precise layouts.

Qualifications

• Experience creating CAD layouts for equipment projects.
• Familiarity with 2D layouts and 3D modeling.
• Ability to support sales with technical drawings and quotations.

Provide Sales with an accurate equipment layout drawing on CAD, and other relevant information.

Research project-specific information to accurately develop process requirements.

Develop a system concept to meet process and equipment requirements and customer specifications.

Develop conceptual 2D layout drawings on AutoCAD and turn studies.
Use Solidworks to develop 3D models of systems or special components.

Revise and/or make changes to existing sales layouts.

Review the project concept

Create and maintain a pool of outsource equipment and services quotations.

Provide input at project quote review, kick-off, update review, closing, and completed project review meetings.

Provide sales support as needed.

Minimal travel by car or airplane.
