Job description

Trackman Baseball (TMBB) is seeking a Sales Leader to be a key contributor to the TMBB Leadership team. The Sales Leader is critical to TMBB’s success, will have oversight over the TMBB US Sales Team and will be responsible for the team’s results selling TMBB’s portfolio of hardware and software products.

This position will collaborate closely with many groups across Trackman. In particular, the Sales Director must work closely with the product development side (Product, R&D) to ensure new features and products meet market needs and are successfully launched. This dynamic role demands a talented individual who is strong in strategy, leadership, collaboration, communication, planning, and execution.

This role is open to remote candidates within the U.S.; however, because of the close collaboration with our team based in the Stamford office, we prefer candidates who are located nearby or within commuting distance. We are also open to relocation discussions for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to overall TMBB leadership, including actively participating in leadership meetings, proactively looking for ways to improve the department and setting a strong example for TMBB employees.
  2. Contribute to overall TMBB strategy to set long-term vision for business success.
  3. Lead the Sales team strategy to drive the best business results possible.
  4. Manage the US Sales team and drive sales across the TMBB portfolio of hardware and software products.
  5. Establish sales processes and methodologies to optimize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  7. Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and drive product development initiatives.
  8. Drive adoption and use of Salesforce CRM with Sales team to optimize sales processes, reporting and results.
  9. Collaborate with Product and R&D teams to ensure Sales team is prepared for new product launches and provide customer feedback on products to help inform product development.
  10. Collaborate with President, Trackman Baseball to develop the sales team’s tools and processes including KPIs, commission plans, hiring processes, employee evaluations, etc.
  11. Work closely with TMBB aftermarket operations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  12. Lead Sales team staffing strategy, hire processes and territory decisions.
  13. Keep abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and market trends to inform sales strategies and tactics.
  14. Travel as needed to assist, evaluate and train Sales team, interact with company leadership and meet with customers.
  15. Continually seek out opportunities to improve productivity and cost effectiveness.
  16. Provide sales forecasts, reporting, and insights to senior management to support decision-making processes.
Requirements

The ideal candidate:

  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  2. 6+ years’ work experience sought from applicable backgrounds, including sales, account management, etc.
  3. Strong baseball and softball knowledge.
  4. Ability to travel as needed to successfully manage department, including to key Trackman offices in Denmark, Stamford and Phoenix.
  5. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage people, including both internal employees and external vendors.
  6. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.
  7. High level of attention to detail.
  8. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
