The Director of Catering and Conference Services is responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering sales, event planning, and execution at Oglebay Resort. This position ensures exceptional service and seamless coordination for meetings, conferences, weddings, and other special events. The Director leads a team of catering and event professionals, ensuring revenue growth, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency. THIS IS A SALES FOCUSED POSITION, IN COOPERATION WITH THE OPS TEAM. OPERATIONS ARE HANDLED BY DIRECTORS OF BANQUETS AND CULINARY.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages 6-8 employees in Catering and Conference Services. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
