About the Role

BC Platforms is looking for a driven and results-oriented Sales Director, Life Sciences to join our growing global team. This role is based in the U.S., preferably in the Eastern Time Zone (EST), and plays a critical part in expanding our sales pipeline and driving revenue growth across our portfolio of Life Science customers.

As Sales Director, you will lead the sales of our software platform and real world data offering to clients in the pharma, biotech, and broader life sciences sectors. You’ll use a consultative sales approach to identify opportunities, open and secure strategic accounts, and position BC Platforms as a trusted partner in optimizing pharma R&D workflows. This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to shape the future of data-driven innovation in the life sciences industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects within the Life Sciences sector
  • Drive the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies for key pharma and biotech accounts
  • Establish long-term account plans and nurture strategic client relationships
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders through a consultative, value-based sales approach
  • Engage with a range of decision-makers including C-Suite, physicians, researchers, IT, procurement, and clinical labs
  • Secure deals of varying sizes—from mid-level ($100K+) to large enterprise-level ($3-4M+) agreements
  • Lead pricing discussions and negotiate commercial and contractual terms
  • Identify and develop senior-level relationships in new and existing markets
  • Research complex organizations to tailor solutions to specific customer needs and pain points
  • Create compelling use cases and tactical plans to support deal progression
  • Deliver effective, tailored sales presentations to diverse audiences
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service throughout the sales and onboarding process
  • Collaborate with internal solution teams to craft high-quality responses to RFPs
  • Manage and expand key accounts going forward

Qualifications and experience

  • Solid experience in sales within the life sciences sector (minimum of 3 years in quota-holding sales role with life science companies)
  • Demonstrated track record of success in achieving and exceeding sales targets (deal sheet or similar evidence)
  • Strong understanding of the Real-World Data (RWD) landscape and its commercial applications (demonstrated track record of success in commercializing RWD offerings)
  • Proven expertise in enterprise solution sales, ideally including technology sales
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Skilled in building trusted relationships with clients, prospects, and both internal and external stakeholders
  • Clear and persuasive communicator, able to tailor messages to diverse audiences
  • Experience navigating and succeeding in complex negotiations
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in tools such as Microsoft 365 and Salesforce
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Adept in consultative selling, with a focus on understanding client needs and delivering value
  • Results-oriented mindset with a high drive for achievement
  • Comfortable with change and able to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Committed to continuous learning and professional growth

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, medical technology, data science, genetics, or a related field is required
  • Master’s degree preferred
