We are seeking a Sales Director to enhance Voltera's presence in transportation electrification. This role involves identifying, nurturing relationships with, and closing deals with fleet customers for electric vehicle charging depots. The ideal candidate has experience with capital projects—preferably in EV charging, renewable energy, real estate, construction, or utilities—and making those projects commercially successful.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Understand and communicate the emerging requirements of the last mile delivery sector, including package delivery, food distribution, and ATM services.
  • Develop relationships with potential leads in this segment.
  • Identify and develop programmatic opportunities across multiple sites and markets.
  • Collaborate with the organization and Commercial Operations to develop contracts.
  • Advise the Real Estate & Development teams on site characteristics suitable for market needs.
  • Leverage utility or state agency grants and incentives with the incentives team.
  • Ensure long-term customer success by aligning with Operations on customer and agreement requirements.
  • Manage customer accounts over the long term.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
MUST-HAVE:
  • 7+ years in sales and business development.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience driving the success of large capital projects.
  • Proven sales and business development track record.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate market requirements to influence pricing and product development.
  • Commitment to organizational excellence and process improvement.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of sales opportunities and communicate progress.
  • Excellent prioritization and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with support from peers.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
  • Experience in real estate, EV charging, renewables, utilities, construction, or fleet management industries.
LOCATION:
  • Remote – CA, CO, GA, TX, VA, or Washington, D.C.

Compensation ranges from $140,000 to $170,000, including base salary, bonus, equity, and benefits. Voltera values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer.
