Job summary

Netcraft in Utah is seeking a driven Business Development Representative to join our expanding sales team. You will identify and engage prospective clients, qualify leads, and set the stage for enterprise conversations in cybersecurity.

Based in Lehi, UT, this hybrid role reports to the Director of Sales. You will build ICPs, conduct outbound outreach, and collaborate with marketing to improve campaigns while advancing your career in cyber defense.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in a sales or business development role
• Experience selling into large enterprises or public sector organisations
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with CRM and sales enablement platforms

Responsibilities

• Research, identify, and prospect into ideal customer profiles across key industries (e.g., financial services, e-commerce, government).
• Generate qualified sales opportunities through outbound emails, calls, LinkedIn, and events/webinars.
• Engage with inbound leads from marketing campaigns and qualify them according to ICP and sales criteria.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach and lead qualification activities in Salesforce.
• Book discovery meetings for Account Executives and support them with background research.
• Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on campaign performance and market signals.
• Stay up to date on cybersecurity trends and Netcraft’s products and value proposition.

The Role

We are looking for a driven and curious Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. As an BDR at Netcraft, you will be on the front lines of our commercial growth, identifying and engaging prospective clients, qualifying leads, and setting the stage for high-value sales conversations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the cybersecurity industry and develop your career in enterprise sales.

Please note that this role will be based in our Lehi (UT) office three times a week, reporting to our Director of Sales.

Day to day, this is what you’ll be doing:

• Research, identify, and prospect into ideal customer profiles across key industries (e.g., financial services, e-commerce, government).
• Generate qualified sales opportunities through outbound emails, calls, LinkedIn, and events/webinars.
• Engage with inbound leads from marketing campaigns and qualify them according to ICP and sales criteria.

• Stay up to date on cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and Netcraft’s products and value proposition.

You’ll need:

• 1–2 years’ experience in a sales or business development role, ideally in B2B SaaS or cybersecurity.
• Experience selling into large enterprises or public sector organisations.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct research and personalise outreach.
• Comfortable using CRM tools and sales enablement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
• High level of self-motivation and ability to manage time effectively.
• Resilient, coachable, and results-driven mindset with an interest in cybersecurity.
• Successful track record in meeting and exceeding goals.
• Ability to easily understand and pitch new services, focusing on value proposition.
• Knowledge of sales qualification methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC).
• A computer science degree or similar discipline would be very helpful.
