Now Hiring - Hoffman Media, LLC - Sales Development Representative in Birmingham, AL

Hoffman Media, LLC is seeking a Sales Development Representative in Birmingham, AL, or remote in select states. The role involves selling books, magazines, advertising, and custom content to various customers and businesses.

The successful candidate will join our imprint, 83 Press, as a Sales Development Lead. The primary goal is to expand market reach, form strategic partnerships, and build a pipeline of book projects, managing the sales process from lead sourcing to deal closure to drive growth.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Pipeline Development & Relationship Management: Build and nurture a pipeline of book projects, collaborating with authors, content creators, agents, restaurateurs, etc. Identify trends and opportunities, and maintain client satisfaction and loyalty.
  2. Product and Service Expansion: Work with internal teams to develop services aligned with market demands and enhance our book pipeline. Introduce ideas that benefit client projects and reflect industry trends.
  3. Sales and Revenue Growth: Develop strategies to grow and diversify our publishing revenue streams.
  4. Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with editorial, marketing, and production teams to execute business development initiatives and ensure successful project completion. Provide insights for product development and marketing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of sales experience; publishing industry experience is a plus but not required.
  • Location preference: Birmingham, AL, or remote in AL, GA, FL, LA, OH, TN, WV.
  • Proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline.
  • Strong sales and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a track record of achieving goals.
  • Adaptability to industry changes and trends.
