Reporting To

District Sales Manager - South Texas

Role and Responsibilities

The Sales Development Leader will work closely with the largest players in the industry, building long-term relationships with key stakeholders, securing ABB ELIP products as the preferred solution, and helping drive profitability growth. This role involves visiting end-user customers and decision makers to understand their needs and specify ABB's products in critical verticals within the district. The successful candidate will execute the market plan, report progress, and maintain contact with sales and marketing leadership.

This is a remote position, ideally based in the Houston, TX metro area, contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division in South Texas. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Market understanding: Research customer needs, propose solutions, and support sales with market intelligence and trend analysis.
  2. Customer relations: Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure satisfaction and business growth.
  3. Specification: Develop relationships with contractors, end-users, OEMs, and decision makers to achieve product specifications and drive orders.
  4. Training: Provide technical and CEU training externally and internally.
  5. Sales: Collaborate internally to align strategies and achieve sales targets through effective go-to-market strategies.
Qualifications
  • BS/BA in business, marketing, engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years in technical specification/product marketing in the electrical industry.
  • Proven track record in new customer/business development and strong customer relations.
  • Ability to understand and apply product portfolio knowledge to market segments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willing to travel approximately 50%.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
