What the Sales Development Account Manager, Level 3 does at Worldwide

The Sales Development Account Manager, Level 3 plays a critical role in helping the organization achieve our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives by engaging with prospective clients and internal stakeholders to build an effective new business pipeline. You will have maintained a sustained level of performance as a Level 2 Sales Development Account Manager and will be looking to take the next step in your career. You will receive foundational Business Development and/or Management training and will be supported by Commercial Leadership to balance your responsibilities with your learning and development. You may also be called upon to coach and mentor peers as part of your growth.

What you will do

  • Partner with Business Development to achieve territory targets and collaborate with Marketing on initiatives.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting.
  • Work with your Business Development partners to determine outcomes of meetings and plan next steps.
  • Co-manage sales territories and develop strategies with your partners to meet customer and revenue targets.
  • Upsell to expand client requests when possible.
  • Support Bid Defense Preparation as needed.

What you will bring to the role

  • Deep experience with CRM and familiarity with selling tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Drive, determination, and a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Adaptability, professionalism, and understanding of the sales cycle.
  • Active listening skills to identify customer pain points.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Your experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.
  • At least 3 years of inside sales or sales development experience, including new business development, lead nurturing, and prospecting.
  • Experience in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry, knowledge of clinical research phases preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months experience as a Level 2 Sales Development Account Manager at Worldwide.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM and sales automation tools.
