Job summary

JOB SUMMARY

This position designs, models, and details capital equipment layouts for the concrete products industry.

Essential Functions

• Works with the field sales team on capital equipment requests.
• Utilizes SolidWorks/CAD systems for model creation, design, drafting, and detailing of all Besser products.
• Originates, develops, and updates plant layouts, sales drawings, and foundation, installation and erection drawings for products to meet defined company or customer requirements.
• Completes required documentation for drawing revisions and releases.
• Collaborates with sales and service representatives in the field to ensure all equipment specifications are accurate.
• Assists with incoming customer calls.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education

Associates degree in CAD, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

Work experience in drafting, design and SolidWorks/CAD.

Skills

Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of
employees, management, and customers. Familiarity of a variety of standard industry concepts, practices, and procedures. Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks applications.

Requirements

Must be willing to travel.
