Job summary

Scan Design, a premier Florida furniture and design house, seeks a full-time interior design consultant to engage clients in-store and in-home, understand their lifestyle, and translate preferences into compelling spaces.

You will develop floor plans, curate styling, manage projects end-to-end, and collaborate with showroom and delivery teams to ensure a seamless client experience. Weekend availability and a background in luxury retail or interior design are preferred.

Qualifications

• Visualize and communicate sophisticated interior layouts.
• Proven high-end sales track record.
• Experience in Interior Design, Home Staging, or Luxury Retail preferred.
• Familiar with Floor Planner/AutoCAD or AI design tools.
• Strong teamwork and communication with warehouse and office.

Responsibilities

• Consultative Design: Engage with clients in-store and in-home to identify their lifestyle needs, aesthetic preferences, and budget requirements.
• Space Planning: Develop comprehensive floor plans and layouts that demonstrate how Scan Design pieces transform a client's specific environment.
• Curated Styling: Expertly select accessories, finishes, lighting, and rugs to create a cohesive, elevated interior.
• End-to-End Project Management: Oversee the client journey from the initial introduction through the procurement process to the final installation.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with showroom team, administrative staff, and delivery teams to ensure a seamless experience for every client
• Showroom Excellence: Assist in visual merchandising to ensure our showroom remains a premier destination for design inspiration.

The Most Successful Consultants Know That Peak Earning Happens When The Clients Are Shopping. To Be Considered, Candidates Must Be Available For

• Weekend Excellence: Regular Saturday and Sunday shifts

• Retail Hours: Consistent coverage during showroom operating hours

Requirements

Professional Qualifications

• Spatial Literacy & Vision: Demonstrated ability to visualize, conceptualize, and communicate sophisticated interior layouts and multi-functional space solutions.
• Consultative Sales Excellence: A proven track record in high-end sales with the ability to build long‑term client rapport through trust, technical expertise, and a value‑driven approach.
• Industry Expertise: Prior experience in Interior Design, Home Staging, or Luxury Retail is highly preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Professional familiarity with Floor Planner, AutoCAD, or emerging AI-assisted design tools to produce accurate and compelling visual proposals.
• Committed to the Team: A proactive collaborator who takes pride in the success of the entire showroom. You understand that clear communication with the warehouse and office teams is essential to a successful delivery.
