Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
A Shade Above Window Fashions, Inc. is seeking top-performing window treatment salespeople to join our Charlotte-area team. You’ll meet clients at homes and showrooms, listen closely, and guide them to shades, blinds, shutters, and motorization while delivering exceptional service.
This is a commission-based role with a six-month salary draw during training. Afterward, uncapped commissions and bonuses reward effort.
We're hunting the country's best window treatment salespeople — and the best salespeople who want to learn the trade. If you want to plant roots in Charlotte, we'll help you get here. Already live in Charlotte? Even better — let's talk.
In 1993, Dalton Taylor started building plantation shutters one window at a time in Monroe, NC, with his wife Patti and his brother Jeff. Thirty-plus years later, that family shop has grown into A Shade Above: three Charlotte-area showrooms, a fourth in North Myrtle Beach, and our own factory in Monroe where we still manufacture our shutters.
We're still a real family company — and we're growing fast. We're not just filling a seat in one town. We're searching the country for the best of the best. If your track record speaks for itself, we want to hear from you, wherever you are.
People invite us into their homes and pay good money to trust our judgment. Skills we can teach — character we can't. Before anything else, we want someone who is:
You'll be the face of A Shade Above.
Some of our best people didn't start in window coverings. If you've built a career in interior design, architecture, flooring, custom furniture, or another home trade, that experience carries over — tell us about it. And if you've never touched a window treatment but you know how to sell, we're not worried. Product knowledge we can teach, and we'll teach it thoroughly.
And if you've been out of the workforce for a stretch and you're ready to pour yourself into something new, we'd love to meet you.
This is a commission role, and the earning potential is real and uncapped.
To make sure you're set up to succeed, your first six months include a salary draw while we train you and you build your book. After that, the ceiling is up to you — the harder and smarter you work, the more you make. Good people are worth it, and we've built this so good people win.
Job Type: Full-time. Relocation assistance available.
