About this Position:
Goodwin Living seeks a dynamic, results-driven, and collaborative Sales Counselor who is passionate about connecting older adults with a purpose-driven, care-focused community. This role is dedicated exclusively to the pre-sales lease up phase and subsequent ongoing leased up phase of Goodwin House Seminary Road (GHSR), Goodwin Living’s newest in-development Life Plan Community, featuring Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Health Care within two state-of-the-art connected towers.
The Sales Counselor will thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. They will work during the lease-up phase through stabilization and engage in blue-sky selling to introduce prospective residents to Goodwin House Seminary Road before the community is built. They will play a key role in building strong professional relationships within the community and executing a strategic sales approach for Goodwin House Seminary Road, an entrance-fee model Life Plan Community currently under development in Alexandria, VA.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Drive revenue growth by consistently meeting and exceeding targets for meaningful contacts, reservation agreements, deposit agreements, residency agreements, and overall occupancy/sales goals in the pre-sale lease up phase and subsequent ongoing sustained phase of high occupancy.
Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective residents, their families, and professional care providers, fostering a sense of trust and community, that leads to a high level of depositors becoming residents in Goodwin House Seminary Road.
Clearly and effectively communicate the benefits of joining the Goodwin Living family, emphasizing the exclusive services and support available to depositors before residency.
Respond promptly and professionally to all inquiries, including walk-ins, phone calls, and emails, ensuring timely, thoughtful, and personalized follow-up.
Schedule, organize, and lead engaging virtual or in-person tours for prospective residents, adult children, and key influencers to showcase the community’s offerings.
Approach each inquiry with warmth and professionalism, ensuring prospective residents feel valued and supported throughout their decision-making process.
Keep the Director of Sales informed of all sales activities through open, transparent, and proactive communication.
Work collaboratively with the GHSR sales team as well as the entire Sales organization across Goodwin Living to create a culture of teamwork and focus on excellent customer service.
Attend sponsorship and third-party events as directed that present opportunities to create leads that can convert to depositors.
Maintain proficiency in all required software programs to optimize efficiency, enhance performance, and streamline sales processes.
Analyze and stay ahead of the competition, effectively articulating Goodwin Living’s unique value proposition and key differentiators in the marketplace.
Maintain a strong attention to detail with tracking and managing sales trends keeping all information in the CRM accurate and up to date.
Stay informed on industry trends, innovations, and best practices to continuously improve service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
Uphold strict confidentiality standards regarding resident and organizational information, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
Ensure full compliance with all Goodwin Living policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Maintain professionalism and effective communication across all levels of the organization, ensuring positive interactions with prospective residents and their families.
Adapt and take on additional responsibilities as needed, contributing to the community's overall success.
