Atlas Copco North America LLC seeks a leader to develop, guide, and manage the Optimization Sales Consultants in the USA, aligning with Atlas Copco standards and market needs. You will prepare market analyses and related business reports, driving growth in the compression industry.
The role emphasizes sales leadership, business development, and marketing communications, with a hybrid work setup in Rock Hill, SC. A 4-year degree and 5+ years in sales/marketing of technical equipment are preferred.
Working in collaboration with the Optimization Pillar Manager, Develop, lead, and manage the Optimization Sales Consultants in USA in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of market and customers. Prepare related business development reports and conduct/present relevant market analysis.
Manage the sales consultant team's daily activities, work with the sales consultants to support and promote the Atlas Copco Optimization products. Control expenses, while maximizing Company assets, time, skills, and profit levels. Regularly evaluate the team to ensure they meet or exceed established business goals. Define the mission for the team as they relate to the targets. Always enhance the professional image of colleagues through personal actions and initiatives. Achieve the results through management, monitoring, and accountability of the team.
Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy to maximize business results with these customers and markets. Review business development strategies on a regular basis and recommend modifications and enhancements that will secure sales goals in line with growth targets of OES business line and the Optimization Pillar Manager. Present these plans to Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Sales Managers, And Sales Managers. Coordinate/motivate sales efforts to achieve established growth and sales goals. Provide monthly reports to management regarding the effectiveness of business plan implementation in achieving sales goals. Prepare monthly reports that show market trends, business development results, competitor activity, sales forecasts and prospective activity. Additional focus on gaining market share through these efforts is of great importance. Continuously pursue knowledge and understanding of economic trends and news that may affect the compressed air business.
Develop and distribute Marketing materials and Pricing tools for the Atlas Copco Sales teams. Develop and implement informational session and training programs as required to achieve business development goals. The training will be geared towards educating the sales managers on the product and selling techniques. Create quotation standards and systems to ensure excellent, prompt response to customer inquiries. Review competitor positions and create competitor comparison reports. Based on these reports, provide recommendations to management regarding products that could/should be developed.
Review and respond promptly to customer and sales staff inquiries relating to the Optimization product lines. Develop an understanding and collect information, as appropriate, to clarify the needs of the customer or the sales group to better facilitate addressing those needs and expectations. Develop rapport with the service sales and equipment sales teams through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism, and strengthen the relationship between sales team and marketing team through ensuring a high standard of customer response.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience - 5+ years of relevant experience in sales and marketing of technical, industrial equipment (preferably audit services within Compressed air) Proven ability to successfully achieve sales goals and implement business development planning.
Education - 4-year Engineering, Business, or Marketing degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills - Must be a self-directed team player, who has a positive attitude, can motivate those around them, and is service oriented. Must also have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Power Point, experience in C4C and SAP applications would be an advantage. Travel to support AirScan specialist and field sales activities will be required.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our corporate office, Rock Hill, SC.
