Position Summary

The Gulf South territory covers the following states: KY, TN, AR, AL, and MS. Interested candidates should have a background in sales or experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or similar role in a hospital, research, or reference lab.

This position is based out of a home office but requires daily travel to local and out-of-state hospitals and accounts, with an anticipated overnight travel of 6-7 days per month, approximately 60% travel.

The individual will be responsible for direct sales of company products and services within the assigned territory, contributing to individual, area, and company goals.

Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
  • Analyze customer requirements and promote company products and services.
  • Develop contacts with existing and potential customers focusing on new sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver product/sales presentations.
  • Achieve annual sales objectives.
  • Maintain all aspects of the IL Customer Database and Property Accountability Documents.
  • Maintain high competency in IL products and services, including competitive systems.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and forecasts, and sales reports.
  • Develop an annual territory business plan aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO policies and procedures.
Secondary Functions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Interactions may include:

  • Field-based departments: Clinical Applications, Field Service, and Corporate Accounts

Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Science or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of sales experience (medical/capital sales preferred) or similar business experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English.
International Mobility
  • Not required.
Travel Requirements
  • Up to 80% of the time.
