Primary Position Objective

Primary Position Objective

Under limited supervision, proposes, analyzes, and administers Sales compensation programs, to support associate retention and engagement while ensuring internal equity. Independently evaluates diverse issues, proposes solutions based on limited information, and adapts existing approaches, with complex work reviewed at key stages.

Essential Functions

  • Partners with and advises stakeholders on complex pay decisions to provide Sales compensation recommendations in compliance with compensation policy, past precedence, and budgetary guidelines.
  • Conducts quality control review of all data received into and reported out of the Sales Compensation group.
  • Ability to communicate and report data in a concise, coherent manner that tells a story
  • Evaluates proposed new programs based on return on investment, current internal offering and equity, availability of data and ability to administer.
  • Completes complex work requests from intake, requirements gathering, design and communication. Work may involve updates to pay programs, and compensation guidelines.
  • MAINTAINS comprehensive knowledge of compensation programs, principles and practices to support business areas.
  • Builds relationships and networks with partners who are not familiar with the subject matter. Adapts style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters.
  • ASSESSES unusual circumstances and uses sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify cause.
  • Understanding and experience with a hierarchical sales organization. Creating reports for all levels of management.

Requirements

  • Must be able to, with or without accommodation, perform the essential functions which include, but are not limited to seeing, hearing, typing and speaking.
  • Must be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and have strong organization/priority setting skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation or related field
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree.

Annual Salary

$91,225.00 - $141,450.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
